Hampton Court Palace

Hampton Court Palace is best known as Henry VIII’s most famous home. Located just outside of central London, it’s a fun an educational day/half day trip. It was originally built for Cardinal Wolsey, but when Wolsey fell out of favor, Henry claimed the palace for himself. No monarch has actually lived in the palace since the 18th century. There’s much to see and do at the Palace including displays geared towards children, gardens, a famous maze, garden show, music festivals and more. Well worth a visit.
